+ Who can benefit from Telehealth Physio?
Telehealth Physio is an effective way to treat musculoskeletal and sports injuries ranging from back injuries to knee injuries. While it is ideal to see a patient in the clinic, this is not always possible.
Anyone who is self-motivated to improve their injury can benefit from Telehealth Physio. Telehealth Physio can be used to address:
- Sports injuries (ligaments and muscle strains)
- Pre-op and post-op rehabilitation programs
- Chronic and acute back and neck pain
- Strength and conditioning programs
- Providing advice on ergonomic modifications to home work/study stations
- Health coaching
- Work-related injuries
- Motor vehicle accident-related injuries
+ Can I still book a physiotherapy appointment in the clinic?
Yes! Physiotherapy is an essential service and we are still seeing clients in the clinic. We are adhering to cleaning protocols issued by the Department of Health and strict hand-hygiene, and are maintaining social distancing between patients and staff as much as possible. Hands-on treatment requires physiotherapists to be closer than 1.5 metres but we are following guidelines issued by the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
+ What equipment do I need for a Telehealth appointment?
All you need to join a Telehealth Physio appointment is access to the internet and a laptop, phone or tablet that has a webcam and microphone. We provide easy-to-understand instruction to access your appointment and our staff is happy to help you if you have any technical issues.
